AI Import & Timetables
Q: The AI didn’t read my timetable correctly. What do I do?
- A: The AI relies on a clear image. If it failed, try these tips for your next scan:
- Crop is King: Crop your image so only the grid is visible. Remove headers, footers, and page numbers.
- Flat & Bright: Ensure the paper is flat (no wrinkles) and well-lit. Avoid shadows or glare covering the text.
- Straight Lines: Take the photo from directly above, not at an angle.
Q: Can I edit the timetable after the AI imports it?
- A: Yes. Immediately after the scan, you will see the “Edit Timetable” screen. You can tap on any module name, time, or location to fix typos before saving.
Q: Can I delete or rename a semester?
- A: Yes. Long-press on the Semester folder inside your institute folder to see options for Rename or Delete.
- Warning: Deleting a semester permanently removes all attendance records inside it.
Attendance & “Safe to Skip”
Q: The app says I can “Safely Skip” 2 classes. Is this guaranteed?
- A: No. This is a mathematical estimate based on the 80% rule. It does not account for:
- Surprise quizzes.
- Mandatory lab sessions.
- Sudden class cancellations by the lecturer (which reduce the total sessions).
- Always use your best judgment.
Q: I missed a class today, but my attendance is still showing 100%.
- A: You must mark the class as “Absent” manually.
- How: Tap the class card on the Dashboard → Select “Mark Absent”. Or find the relevant session inside the timetable and mark.
- Note: The app assumes session is “Cancelled” by default unless you tell it otherwise.
Q: What does “Recovery Mode” mean?
- A: If your attendance drops below your target (e.g., 80%), the app enters Recovery Mode. It calculates exactly how many consecutive classes you must attend to get your average back up to the safe zone.
GPA & Grades
Q: My GPA is calculated incorrectly.
- A: This usually happens if the wrong Grading Scale is selected.
- Fix: Go to your Institute folder → Long press the timetable and select “Edit” → Grading Scale.
- Ensure you have selected the correct scale for your degree (e.g., 4.2 or 4.0 or Custom).
